Customers
Consumers are the primary target of promotions. You may select the consumers you want to target and any groups you want to exclude.
Included Customers
To view the categories of consumers, click on the Included Customers dropdown.
Consumers can be targeted in a promotion through any of the following options:
- Any-Customers
- Any-Cardholders
- Consumer Segments
Any-Customers
This option makes the promotion available to all consumers who engages in a transaction, irrespective of their loyalty subscription.
Any-Cardholders
This option makes the promotion available to any consumer with a loyalty subscription. The consumer must have a validated identifier, such as a loyalty card number or an alternate ID.
Consumer Segments
This option makes the promotion available only to members belonging to the specific consumer segments. You can define these segments in NVL or import them from external sources.
You can target up to 50 consumer segments per promotion.

Excluded Customers (Optional)
You can optionally exclude consumer segments, up to 50 per promotion.
Upon selecting the Included Customers and/or Excluded Customers, the Next button activates.
Click Next to proceed to the Actions & Rewards tab, Back to go to the Details tab, Discard to clear the information you entered, Exit to exit from the promotion.
Upon exit, the information will auto-save and move to the Promotion Drafts section.
