Consumer segments allow you to create consumer groups to target promotions.

• Access Consumer Segments from the Dashboard through CONSUMER MANAGEMENT or expand Consumer Management on the left navigation panel.

• The Consumer Segments page has Segment Name, Description, Consumer Count, Associations, and options to search the segment, create a segment, and Ellipses to edit or delete the segment.

  • Segment Name: Name of the consumer segment
  • Description: Info about the segment
  • Consumer Count: Number of consumers in the segment
  • Associations: Promotions using the segment
  • Click ... to edit or delete the segment.

  

• Click on the existing Segment Name to view the Consumer Segment Summary.

  The Consumer Segment Summary page has a segment name, description, consumers in the segment, and the list of associated promotions.

  

Create New Segment

• From the Consumer Segments screen, click Create New Segment. This action will lead you to the New Consumer Segment screen.

  

Details

• Enter the segment Name, Description (Optional), and click Next.

  

Add Consumer

Add consumers into the group by importing a CSV file or search the consumers through criteria.

• Click Import.CSV file and select the CSV file from your local directory. A typical format of consumer details in CSV is as follows:

  

• Upon importing the file, a message File upload successful and the number of consumers found in the CSV are displayed:

  

  [!NOTE] Duplicate consumers from the CSV are auto-detected and removed during import.

  or,

• Search and add consumers using attributes and parameters. The search results are as follows:

  

• Pick a consumer and tap on Add Consumer. The selected consumer will be added under Included Consumers

  [!NOTE] You are allowed to select only one consumer.

  

  To delete Included Consumers, select the checkbox and click Delete.

  

• Click Create Consumer Segment. A new consumer segment is created with the message Successfully created consumer segment.

Edit segment

Edit the consumer segment in two ways:

• Navigate to Consumer Segments screen, tap on Ellipsis and click Edit Segment.

  or

• Edit the segment from Consumer Segment Summary screen by clicking on the Segment Name.

Delete segment

Consumer segments that are not associated with the promotions can be deleted. Segments can be deleted in two ways:

• From the Consumer Segments screen, tap on Ellipsis and click Delete Segment.

Add consumer groups to the promotion

• For a promotion, navigate to Customers tab, search and select Customer Segments from the Included Customers dropdown.
