Actions & Rewards
Actions and rewards are two crucial components of a promotion. You need to set conditions (Actions) and configure Rewards so that when the consumer meets the conditions during the transaction, they receive rewards.
Actions
The following are the five types of Actions:
- No Action: No specific action is needed to earn a reward.
- Product Action: Consumers need to purchase a specific quantity, weight, volume, or spend an amount to purchase products.
- Loyalty Program Action: Consumers earn points or stored value (monetary) when they perform certain actions.
- Coupon Action: Consumers need to enter a coupon code to earn a reward.
- Tender Action: Consumers need to pay using a specific tender type to earn a reward.
Rewards
The rewards offered can be of the following types:
- Discount: Consumers can receive a fixed amount off, percent off, free products, special pricing, or price points.
- Loyalty Program: Consumers earn points or stored values (Monetary).
- Cashier Message: A message displayed to the cashier.
- Printed Message: A message printed on the receipt.
Adding Additional Actions and Rewards
Once you have configured the first set of actions and rewards, you can add additional actions and rewards by clicking the + Add Additional Action or + Add Additional Reward.
Tier
The first set of actions and rewards is called a tier 1 promotion. Tier allows multiple "levels" of condition and reward, each with its own unique values. Values configured in tier Actions and Rewards should be higher than those defined in the tier 1 promotion.
