Reward distribution
Reward distribution enables users to control rewards at an offer level. Promotions allow you to set the frequency of reward distribution. Redemption limits can be applied "once per offer" or by days, hours, or minutes. Configure the reward distribution process when creating promotions.
-
Navigate to the Options tab.
-
Choose the redemption type from the Redemption Limit Type drop-down.
Redemption types
No limit
Customers can claim a reward for every transaction.
Per transaction
Customers can redeem a reward based on the transaction limit set.
- Select Per Transaction from the Redemption Limit Type drop-down and set the Per Transaction Limit.
Learn how Per transaction works from the following scenarios:
Scenario 1 ( Action type = Spend amount)
Sample promotion | Per transaction limit | Total cart value | Rewards per transaction |
---|---|---|---|
Amount to spend = 20$, Reward = 2$ | 1 | 60$ | 2$ |
Customers can claim a reward only once from the total cart value.
Scenario 2 ( Action type = Spend amount)
Sample promotion | Per transaction limit | Total cart value | Rewards per transaction |
---|---|---|---|
Amount to spend = 30$, Reward = 3$ | 2 | 60$ | 6$ |
Setting the Per Transaction Limit to 2 results in claiming the reward twice.
Once per offer
This limit is available only when the customer segment is added as a consumer condition. However, a customer can redeem the reward only once all throughout the validity of the offer. Even if the customer makes multiple transactions and satisfies the offer conditions, the offer can only be redeemed once.
- Go to the Options page and select Once per offer from the Redemption Limit Type drop-down.
Custom period
This limit is available only when the customer segment is added as a consumer condition. Customers can claim a reward for a limited time within the specified period of days, hours, or minutes.
- Navigate to the Options page and select Custom period from the Redemption Limit Type drop-down.
Set the transaction limits and tailor the period of your choice. Here are some examples:
