Verifone final software fix
Verifone has developed a fix for a known issue that caused continuous reboots with the Vx series of devices, this includes the very commonly used Vx520. If not corrected by May 30th, 2020 the devices may begin experiencing the issue again.
To limit the amount of customer action required, NCR has developed a two-step download process as recommended by Verifone.
Step 1 – Complete – Baseline download pushed to the terminals, this has been addressed remotely by the NCR payments technical support team.
Step 2 – Action needed: Please follow the download steps below immediately after your next batch or prior to running any transactions in the morning.
Important note – Initiating Step 2 with unbatched transactions will result is lost transactions.
- At the idle screen press the '*' key (above the red X key)
- Press the 1 key
- Press the far right purple key
- Press the F4 key, download
- Enter 1 and press green enter key
- Press the F1 key, Multi
- Press the F1 key, Full
- Press the F1 key, TCPIP
- Validate that:
- *ZN=204.14.124.101:8013
- *ZA=MA
- *ZT= The terminal ID to be downloaded
- If any of this is information is not correct, press the F3 key to make the necessary changes.
- Press the F4, Start
